What churches and schools have said in their reports about our grants ................

What difference have our grants made to churches?

Our grant was used "for the production and door-to-door distribution of 3,500 information cards reminding or informing people in our parish about their parish church and telling them about the services and activities we offer and the inclusive nature of our welcome."

Our grant "enabled us to purchase 14 Bibles to gift to children and young people who have been attending our children’s clubs and learning about Jesus and the Christian faith yet have never had a Bible of their own before."

What difference have our grants made to schools?

Our grant has enabled "the Year 6 children to visit a mosque and further understand the importance of religion and also learn about the values that are present in all religions."

Our grant "has made a big impact on our school by enabling us to purchase new, up to date and interesting resources to support the teaching of RE....The resources have enabled teachers to lead practical and inspiring lessons for all of our pupils."

Our grant was used to buy resources to develop the reflection zones in our school. "Pupil interviews have shown that the children feel a greater sense of ownership of their reflection zones.... teachers feel more confident to create their own reflection zone as the resources have provided such clear illustrations and guidance."

"Previous to receiving the grant, children’s experiences of handling religious artefacts was very limited. The artefacts are proving to be an engaging starting point for teaching and learning about festivals, daily worship and prayer. They are proving to be a good stimulus for prompting discussion."
